Lucila Blumencweig was born and raised in Buenos Aires. After working in the film industry as an art director and costume designer, she then turned to photography.

 

Beginning as a photojournalist, Lucila's work has been published in leading magazines including Rolling Stone, La Petite Mag Bacanal, D&D Deco and Cinemania. In 2006, she founded her own studio producing all aspects of her campaigns, and has since been working in the fashion and advertising industries. Her images are mostly known for their detail and emotional use of light.

 

Lucila has been awarded at the NY IPA awards several times, while many campaigns have been recognised at the Cannes Festival, Ojo de Iberoamerica and Lapiz de Platino.
