Tell us something about you. Maybe your life, profession, habit, dream.
I have come to realize that you cannot stand in the way of what life wants and that one way or another things end up the way they should. I have worked relentlessly to establish my TV show / The Simonetta Lein Show - I recently got ranked number 27 host in the entire world, beating Michelle Obama and Jay Shetty! My show won an award as top short version show on the planet.
What do you think about your work? Is it what you like, or simply a dream?
I love my work which has always been my dream and my vision. The Simonetta Lein show and being a host is where I feel the most accomplished, meeting fellow artists, A list celebrities who are humble and are willing to inspire others. I love fashion and I love people as well. I feel accomplished especially through my charity work with The Wishwall Foundation and through paying it forward. There is nothing that I’d rather be doing.
In modern society, lots of people want to be famous, influential. What do you think about it?
It is easy to say, it is hard to achieve. Extremely hard. If you think you want to be famous, think again. You have to be fit for the infinite hours of work, for the stress, for the no’s and the pushbacks.
To become famous, what kind of qualities do you think the person should have?
Talent would be a good start. Charisma and good looks never hurts but unfortunately today a lot of times it takes money to become famous. It also depends on what kind of theme you’re looking for since there are so many sub topics in the world of entertainment.
What will be the suggestions to new photographers?
Most importantly to have respect for other photographers Who are trying to accomplish the same goal. Many times new photographers become overzealous and try too hard. The one thing I’ve learned from the photographers that I deal with is that etiquette is necessary in the world of photography.
Where does your inspiration come from?
It comes from my family and what they teach me every day. It comes from my love of people. The world shifts and changes and we will have to find a way to fit in. Each person has something to offer and each person has their own story.
What are the most difficulties during your shoots?
A well done photoshoot comes out when every detail is put together professionally. And you can tell the difference in the results of the images. Every person in the team and their creativity are fundamental. Putting everyone and everything together is the hardest part. Shooting day is where I finally can express my creativity.
How often do you create new works?
I live to create. Whenever I get an idea I try to build a project around it. You never know what good and innovative results you will have until you truly try.
What is the most important thing for creating new work?
Everything starts with an idea, an adventure. A single thought or conversation can change a whole life. I like to take custody of my mind and think things out before I do them. I like to touch people with my ideas because touch has a memory.
Do you have that feeling? When you have a look at the work you created 1 or 2 years ago, you still think it is in fashion.
I do and I think the world of fashion owes a lot to influencers for forecasting trends that now everyone uses.
Will you still create new works when you are old?
That is my goal and I think about my legacy every day so I hope that day I could mentor other younger people and I will want to see them succeed.
