What goes through your mind in those final ten seconds backstage before the lights hit and you step onto the catwalk?

In those final few seconds backstage, everything becomes very quiet in my mind. There’s always a mix of adrenaline, focus, and excitement, but I try to stay completely present in the moment. I usually take a deep breath, listen to the music and focus on the energy around me, and mentally step into the mood of the show and the character the designer wants to express.

For me, walking a runway is more than just presenting clothes. It's always been about embodying an energy and telling a story through movement and confidence. The moment before stepping onto the runway almost feels like entering another world for a few minutes. Once the lights hit, instinct takes over and I just allow myself to fully experience the energy of the runway and deliver my absolute best.

The runway is often described as a high-pressure environment; how do you maintain your mental composure during the chaos of Fashion Week?

Fashion Week can definitely feel intense and fast-paced, but I’ve learned that staying grounded is essential. I try not to focus too much on the chaos around me and instead concentrate on my own energy and mindset. For me, maintaining composure comes from preparation, finding small moments of calm and trusting in myself.

I’ve learned that confidence starts from within, and staying connected to who you are creatively and personally. I try to approach each show with gratitude and professionalism while still allowing myself to enjoy the excitement and artistry of Fashion Week.

Outside of the runway, I recharge through quiet moments, yoga,,music, travel, and surrounding myself with people who keep me balanced. That sense of stability helps me stay focused even during the busiest seasons.

What is the most "organized chaos" moment you have ever experienced behind the scenes of a major show?

One of the most unforgettable “organized chaos” moments I’ve experienced backstage was during a major runway show when there was a last-minute change just seconds before I was due to walk. I was originally wearing a bridal gown that had actually been stitched onto me for the fitting, but right before the lineup started, the producer suddenly decided they wanted me to walk another look in the show that was coming up immediately.

Everything happened incredibly fast. The team rushed to cut the stitches from the bridal dress, changed my entire look within moments, and sent me straight onto the runway. The adrenaline backstage was intense, but everyone stayed focused and somehow made it work perfectly. As soon as I finished that walk, I ran straight back backstage, got stitched back into the original bridal gown, and walked the next part of the show almost immediately after.

It was chaotic, exciting, and honestly one of those moments that perfectly captures the energy of Fashion Week, unpredictable, high-pressure, but also incredibly thrilling.

How do you approach the challenge of bringing a designer's specific vision to life using only your movement and expression?

I think one of the most important parts of modeling is understanding that every designer has their own world, emotion, and story they want to communicate. Before a show or shoot, I always try to really observe the mood of the collection — the styling, the music, the atmosphere, even the way the garments move — because all of those details help shape the energy I bring to the runway or in front of the camera.

For me, movement and expression are subtle forms of storytelling. Sometimes a designer wants strength and power, other times they want softness, mystery, or elegance. I approach each project almost like stepping into a different character while still keeping a sense of authenticity within it. The challenge is finding the balance between representing the designer’s vision and bringing your own presence and emotion to it naturally.

I’ve learned that the smallest details to walk a certain way, my posture, or my facial expression  can completely transform how a collection is perceived. To me this is almost like playing a character. In fashion one day you are a beautiful bride and the next you are shooting a very different editorial look, you get to try so many things you have never tried before!!

In an era of digital influence, how do you balance being a "high-fashion model" with being a relatable personality to your followers?

I always want to bring a piece of my personality to each post or story I create. I show myself through fashion but also through my hobbies and storytelling . I  like to share some personal moments from my travels and experiences and I really enjoy sharing the journey and the behind the scenes content as I feel this helps my followers connect with me and the fashion industry itself.

What is the biggest misconception people have about the life of a professional runway model?

Honestly I think the hours. When I started myself I was genuinely shocked at the long days and the amount of time and effort everyone in a production or project puts in. The effort backstage and behind the scenes is  endless. So much goes into creating a look or final vision.

If you could go back and give one piece of advice to your younger self on the day of her first casting, what would it be?

I would probably tell my younger self to enjoy every moment more and not overthink everything so much. Your first casting feels so serious at the time, but a lot of this industry is about energy, confidence, and being open to the experience. I’d remind myself to stay present, trust the process, and have fun with it.

How do you define "style" versus "fashion," and which one do you prioritize in your daily life?

I think style and fashion are connected, but very different at the same time. To me, style is personal; it's the way someone naturally expresses themselves through what they feel comfortable and confident in. It reflects personality, mood, and individuality, and I think it develops organically over time through the things you’re naturally drawn to.

Fashion, on the other hand, feels much more like an art form. It’s storytelling, creativity, and emotion brought to life through design. A collection can create an atmosphere, evoke a feeling, or even allow someone to step into a completely different character or world for a moment. I’ve always been fascinated by the way designers use fashion to communicate ideas and visions beyond words.

In my daily life, I probably prioritize style because it feels more personal and instinctive to who I am. But creatively, I’m deeply inspired by fashion and the artistry behind it.

Which city’s fashion energy resonates with you the most—New York, London, Milan, or Paris—and why?

Out of all the fashion capitals, I think New York resonates with me the most because of its energy. My Parents took myself and my sister to New York when I was just 12 years old and I instantly fell in love with it. I felt at home even though it was my first time there, I feel that peace each time I return. There is something incredibly inspiring about the pace of the city and the diversity of people, cultures, and creative perspectives all existing in one place. Every experience in New York feels different, and that constant movement creates an atmosphere that feels both exciting and motivating.

What I love most is that New York fashion feels expressive and fearless. There’s a strong sense of individuality, and people aren’t afraid to experiment or stand out. I find that energy very creatively stimulating because it pushes you to evolve, take risks, and embrace different sides of yourself.

Beyond fashion itself, the city has a cinematic quality that I’m very drawn to  from the streets and architecture to the people you meet and the stories constantly unfolding around you. For me, New York represents ambition, creativity, and endless inspiration.

Beyond the camera and the runway, what are the passions or projects that keep you grounded and inspired?

Beyond the camera and the runway, the things that keep me most grounded are wellness, movement, and the people closest to me. I’ve always believed that maintaining a healthy balance is essential, especially in such a fast-paced industry. Pilates, going to the gym, and long walks are a big part of my routine because they help me clear my mind, stay focused, and reconnect with myself outside of work.

Family is also a huge source of support and inspiration for me. No matter how busy life becomes, being surrounded by the people who genuinely know and support me keeps me grounded and reminds me of what truly matters. I feel the same about my close friends  having strong, genuine relationships is something I value deeply.

I think those quieter moments away from fashion are what allow me to return to my work feeling more inspired, balanced, and creatively fulfilled.

What are your long-term aspirations within the fashion world—do you see yourself moving into design, creative direction, or perhaps mentorship?

Right now, my main focus is building a meaningful and lasting career as a model. I really want to continue growing within the industry and learning, while also expanding my work across the major fashion capitals. For me, fashion is not only about the runway itself, but also about the experiences, cultures, and people you encounter along the way.

One of the things I love most about this industry is just  how global it is. I’m excited by the idea of connecting with new people, growing, learning and of traveling to different parts of the world, I love experiencing new cultures, and I want to constantly evolve both creatively and personally through those experiences. I also hope to continue gaining international recognition through editorials, campaigns, and publications that align with my identity and artistic vision.

Beyond career success, I want my work and personal brand to reflect balance and authenticity. I think it’s important to show that modeling can coexist with wellness, mindfulness, travel, and a healthy lifestyle. For me, true success is not only professional growth, but also creating a life that feels abundant, inspiring, and grounded surrounded by the people I love while continuing to do work that genuinely fulfills me.

How do you handle the transition from the adrenaline of a global tour back to the quiet moments of your private life?

I think it’s very important to create balance, especially after the intensity and adrenaline of constant travel and Fashion Week. When everything slows down again, I try to reconnect with the simple routines that make me feel grounded and present. I love Yoga, Pilates, mindfulness, and long walks really  help me reset mentally and physically, especially after being in such fast-paced environments for long periods of time.

I also really value quiet moments with the people I love. Spending time with family, close friends, and my dog Cindy brings me back to myself and creates a sense of comfort and normality. Those moments remind me to slow down, appreciate the present, and recharge creatively.

As exciting as the fashion world can be, I think having that balance between movement and stillness is what keeps me inspired and emotionally centered.
