Tell us something about you. Maybe your life, profession, habit, dream.
My dream was to become a Rock Star, and I formed my own band as a way of pursuing my dream. After college, I also worked as a professional music producer. During this period, I came into contact and gravitated with photography, that’s why I decided to come to France to study photography and art. I think that music and photography are both a means of expressing myself.
Is art, fashion important in your life? Why?
Art is important in my life, it’s tightly embedded in my DNA; every moment in my life, I am looking continually for a new approach to re-understand myself, express myself, and explain what relationship I maintain with the real world, all those are related to art.
If you have a superpower or talent, which one do you wish to have? Why?
If possible, I hope I can control the time at will, pause at will, fast forward and rewind at will. Because until I reveal the true features of time, I can describe it correctly and clearly.
In modern society, lots of people want to be famous, influential. What do you think about it?
I think there is nothing wrong with it. Today, with the development of social networks, everyone has the opportunity to let people all over the world see their own artistic creations; strengthen the dialogue between cultural communities, and gain more creative motivation. But it should be noted that we should always remember what we are creating for.
What will be the suggestions to new photographers?
Don't be ashamed to imitate. If you want to have your unique style, learning to imitate is the way to go. Don't just focus on photography, but also draw inspiration from other artistic styles. Read the manual of your camera carefully, that is your first photography tutorial.
What is your favorite camera? Why?
Advances in equipment and other technologies have made it difficult to distinguish between I have always been a loyal user of SONY, now the camera that I use the most often is a SONY A7R3. High pixels and image quality, good image dynamics and light weight allow me to create more freely.
What is the most important thing for creating new work?
Most of my visual works are inspired by science fiction, movies, games, rock music, sometimes I drew my inspiration in physics, mental science and social behavior theories.
