Iryna Schmitz is a passionate and dedicated model who truly loves what she does. Since she was a child, she felt connected to fashion and the power of expressing feelings through clothes and photos. Modeling became more than just a dream for her—it turned into a way to tell stories, show emotions, and connect with people all over the world. She believes that modeling is not only about beauty, but also about creativity, energy, and personality.

Her style is influenced by travel, art, and everyday life. She finds inspiration in places, people, and cultures, which helps her grow not only as a model but also as a person. Outside of modeling, she enjoys music and various cultures and photography, which often influence her work in front of the camera. She sees modeling as a way to inspire others and to be part of something meaningful and artistic.

This photoshoot in Paris captures such an effortless blend of elegance and spontaneity — what was the main concept or inspiration behind it?

The idea behind this shoot was to show both beauty and natural movement. We wanted it to feel real and emotional, not too posed. Paris is the perfect city for that—it’s romantic, stylish, and full of life. I tried to mix soft, elegant poses with moments that felt free and spontaneous. The goal was to create something that felt like a short story in every picture.

When you walk through the streets of Paris, what kind of mood or story do you want your look to tell?

I want my look to say something about how I feel that day. Sometimes I want to look powerful and strong, sometimes soft and romantic. Walking through Paris, I imagine myself in a movie scene, so my outfit should match the mood. I like to dress in a way that feels true to me but also connects with the beauty of the city around me. My clothes are part of my story.

As someone who lives between fashion, lifestyle, and travel, how do these three elements shape your creative identity?

These three things are all part of who I am. Fashion gives me a way to show who I am. Travel gives me new ideas and shows me different styles and cultures. And lifestyle is about how I live every day—how I take care of myself and stay inspired. Together, they help me stay creative, curious, and always growing.

How do you stay authentic in an industry that’s constantly changing and chasing the next big thing?

I stay grounded by reminding myself why I started. I didn't begin modeling to chase fame or trends—I did it because I love visual storytelling and the emotion behind fashion. I stay true to myself by choosing projects that resonate with my artistic vision. Social media and trends can be tempting, but I try to focus on substance over performance. Authenticity is what creates longevity in this industry.

Do you think social media has helped or challenged the true artistry behind modeling and fashion photography?

Social media has done both. It has opened so many doors and given more people a voice in the fashion world, which is amazing. But at the same time, it can sometimes put more focus on likes and trends instead of the deeper artistic process. Real fashion photography takes time, vision, and teamwork—it’s more than a perfect selfie. I think the key is to use social media as a tool, not a goal. When used with intention, it can support the art—not replace it.

Traveling often exposes you to different aesthetics — how do various cultures influence your sense of style?

Every time I travel, I discover new colors, patterns, or ways of styling that inspire me. Different cultures have unique ways of expressing identity through clothing, and I find that so beautiful. I don’t copy what I see, but I love mixing elements from different places into my own look. Maybe it’s a fabric I saw in Marbella, or a minimalist outfit from London—it all becomes part of my fashion story. Travel keeps my style fresh and personal.

When you’re traveling, what are the three wardrobe essentials you can’t live without?

First, I always pack a great blazer—it works for both casual and elegant looks. Second, I need a pair of comfortable but stylish boots or sneakers, because I walk a lot when I travel. And third, I never go anywhere without a good pair of sunglasses. They’re not just practical—they also complete a look and give that little extra confidence. With just these pieces, I can create so many different outfits.

As a professional model, how important is it for you to understand the creative direction and storytelling behind a photoshoot?

It’s very important. When I understand the story behind the shoot, I can bring more meaning into every pose and expression. I’m not just modeling clothes—I’m helping to tell a story, create a mood, and connect with the viewer. It also helps the whole team work better together. When the vision is clear, we can all give our best and create something powerful.

What advice would you give to young women who dream of building a career that blends fashion, lifestyle, and travel like yours?

My advice is: believe in yourself, stay curious, and don’t try to rush the process. Build your style, your voice, and your confidence step by step. Learn from every experience, even the hard ones—they make you stronger. Be kind, stay professional, and protect your creative energy. If you’re passionate and stay true to yourself, opportunities will come at the right time.

``Don`t be like everyone and everyone wants to be like you.’’ - Iryna Schmitz

How do you see the future of fashion storytelling evolving in the next few years?

I think fashion storytelling will become more personal, emotional, and diverse. People want real stories now—not just perfect images. We’ll see more culture, sustainability, and meaning behind the clothes we wear. Technology will keep growing, but the heart of fashion will still be about human connection. The future of fashion is not just about what you wear, but why you wear it. In addition,I think that in the future many petite models will also get a chance in High Fashion.
