Tell us something about you. Maybe your life, profession, habit, dream.

Hello everyone! My name is Liliya and I am a professional model. Apart from living a healthy lifestyle, I love connecting with my spiritual side.

What makes you choose this profession?

When I was a kid, I wrote in my diary that I wanted to become a model and a singer. Nevertheless, I went to a more practical field of law and worked for the immigration police. That being said, I never forgot my artistic, creative side. I couldn’t pass down the opportunity to start a new career as a model. I can’t exactly explain what inspired this change, but it came from a deep desire to change my life.

If you have a superpower or talent, which one do you wish to have? Why?

If I could have a superpower, it would be the power of transformation. As a model, it would be amazing to change your look from day to day. It would be amazing to have short hair and blue eyes one day and curly hair on a curvaceous body the next!

Do you have any problem with your profession? How did you solve it?

The problem with the modeling industry is everyone’s relationship with food. My biggest weakness is dessert. That being said, while I do love my sweets, having them in moderation combined with a healthy lifestyle is the easiest solution.

No matter if you’re an athlete, model or just a regular desk worker, we owe it to ourselves to protect our bodies for a long life. You don’t even have to lift weights at the gym! A healthy lifestyle could be as simple as going for a long, slow walk outside with your friend or loved one!

In modern society, lots of people want to be famous, influential. What do you think about it?

I think it’s great that technological innovation has made it possible for people with different views and opinions to be able to share and engage with others. While social media is definitely not perfect (as much as everyone’s feeds would like to portray), it is an important way to connect, share and expand their horizons.

People become famous or influencers when they (for sometimes right and wrong reasons) capture and represent the underlying psychology of our modern culture.

To become famous, what kind of qualities do you think the person should have?

I think a lot of people would say beauty, wealth, athletic abilities… but I think to become famous you need to have a point of view. Our society is changing so quickly where – and you can see it even in modelling – we are embracing the signs of imperfections as compared against traditional notions of beauty.

To be famous is to have a voice or platform that’s followed especially in the Instagram age!

What are the most difficulties during your shoots?

Modelling is a materialistic business. Unsurprisingly, some of the difficulties that come with being a model are more materialistic in nature. Of course, you have your shoots, sometimes they aren’t the most comfortable but these difficulties are pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
